Orion Ornamental Iron Offers Unique Choices in Drapery Hardware

Posted on: October 5, 2011

Orion Ornamental Iron, which completes 28 years in business in 2011, sells “to the trade only” and provides professional interior designers throughout the U.S. with many unique choices of wood curtain rods and Curtain Hardware. In its current catalogs, the North Hollywood, CA-based company shows nearly 300 finials (160 iron finials, 20 glass finials, 53 resin finials, 32 crystal finials,  and 34 wood finials) and more than 37 styles of drapery rods (12 iron rods, 19 decorative rods, and 6 Inlay rods).

“Orion offers one of the largest varieties of finials and drapery rods in the window treatment hardware industry,” said Sunil Patel, CEO. “We have designed all of our window treatment hardware so that it gives interior designers and their customers a wide selection in iron, resin, crystal, glass, and wood finials, and also in iron and wood drapery rods in an extensive choice of styles and finishes.  In fact, this variety is such a prominent focus for Orion that we are now featuring it in our advertising.”

Orion Ornamental Iron, which sells iron and wood curtain and drapery rods up to 30 feet in length,  offers all rods in traversing and non-traversing styles, as custom drapery rods or in standard lengths, as well as in custom and standard finishes, motorized by Somfy or non-motorized. With the acquisition of KBlair Finials early in 2008, Orion added that company’s distinctive hand-cut crystal finials, decorative Inlay drapery rods, unique resin finials, and exquisite hand-painted finishes to its widely varied offerings.

In line with its stated objective of being consistently in the forefront with new designs and unique product offerings, the company recently introduced Tuscany Traversing, an unusual line of 11 styles of lightweight embossed metal rods.  All poles in this collection are offered with Somfy motorization or non-motorized.

“And, rods can be curved or bent, whether they are motorized or non-motorized.  That surprises most people,” said Atul Patel.  “And, we offer a large number of finials for Tuscany Traversing. Finials can be selected from the entire Orion Iron Finial and Village Forge Collections.

“Our Tuscany line was created to complement our popular Tuscany Cornice line. Customers now have the option of cornices in one room and coordinating or matching  traversing rods in an adjoining room. Both Tuscany Traversing and Tuscany Cornice come in 31 Iron Art finishes, plus custom colors.”

Given the current challenging economic climate, the company states that it wants to reach out to interior designers to help them by offering an extensive line of finials in iron, crystal, wood and resin, together with iron and wood drapery rods.  Orion also provides custom Curtain Rods and custom finials, with drapery rods up to 30 feet in length, in an extensive selection of hand-painted finishes, and in traversing and non-traversing styles, as well as with heavy duty hardware, and also motorized.
